Caring for Your Tattoo

Essential Tips for Long-Lasting Body Art

Proper aftercare is crucial to ensuring that your tattoo looks great for years to come. We understand that getting a tattoo is a commitment, not a fleeting event, and our team is dedicated to helping you maintain your body art to the highest standards.

Here are our top tips for taking care of your fresh tattoo:

Protect Your Investment

During the first two weeks after getting your tattoo, it's essential to avoid direct sunlight, prolonged exposure to water, and scratching or grazing the tattoo. We recommend keeping your tattoo wrapped for the first initial day or two, and during work or physical activity, and changing the wrapping regularly to avoid infection risks. Avoid towel drying your tattoo for the initial 2 weeks as towels harbour bacteria.

Follow Aftercare Instructions

We recommend using a high-quality tattoo aftercare product like our vegan Tat2Nut aftercare or cocoa butter to keep your tattoo moisturised during the healing process. Apply your choice of aftercare 2 to 3 times a day for the initial 2 weeks to ensure the skin doesn't get too dry or crack during healing.

Long-Term Care

To ensure your tattoo looks great for life, it's important to avoid sun and skin damage and keep your skin moisturised. Even after the initial 2-week healing process, regular moisturising and avoiding sun damage will keep your tattoo looking fresh for years to come. Keep in mind that some coloured inks and white ink can also fade over time, so a touch-up may be needed far into the future.

Trust our experienced team to provide you with the knowledge and resources you need to take care of your tattoo and ensure that your body art is a source of pride and joy for years to come.
